***Book Blitz*** What She Didn’t See By Heather Wynter

What She Didn’t See
Heather Wynter
Publication date: February 28th 2020
Genres: Adult, Suspense, Thriller
An American tourist in Rome. A secret service agent on vacation. An international assassin… What could go wrong?
Gracie Colby and Lena Boyd are wrapping up the tour of Italy Lena has planned her whole life.
Luke Barnes, a Secret Service Agent, is on vacation in Rome.
Before she knows what happened to her, her friend is dead, and Gracie finds herself swept into a whirlwind of danger, intrigue, and international forces conspiring to destroy her. Teaming up with Luke to survive, Gracie is forced to question herself and decide if she is capable of outrunning the assassin before he can get to them.
EXCERPT:
He set off across the street, and she followed, not wanting to be alone in this city of death. Her heel crunched in glass fragments. He held up the tape that designated this a crime scene, and she ducked under it. It was all pretend. She saw herself doing everything, looking like an actor on a cop show.
The car riddled with bullet holes belonged to the movie too. The prop crew had put that tire there for her to cower behind for safety from the gunfire. She peered down at the space where she’d taken shelter from the danger, the place where Lena had pushed her to protect her when the shooting started.
She gulped down the lump in her throat. The last thing Lena did in this life was save her. She didn’t save herself. She was too thoughtful for that. While Grace was thinking about dragging Lena back home to start their lives as adults, Lena was saving her from that … that …
She looked up to find Luke inspecting her. Could he see what a terrible friend she had been? Had Lena’s sacrifice left visible scars on her skin?
“What do you know about the shooter?” she asked to distract them both.

***Book Blitz*** Forgotten Pieces ByTori Fox (White Creek #3)

Forgotten Pieces
Tori Fox
(White Creek #3)
Publication date: February 27th, 2020
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Eight years ago, I fell for Ryder Thompson.
He knew me in a way no one else did.
He held my heart in his hands.
Until he brought it crashing to the floor.
I picked up the pieces, vowing to never let him in again.
And I never thought I would see him again.
Then one day, he reappeared in my life.
I promised myself I would ignore him.
I lied.
————————————————————
Tacoma Calloway made me a better man.
To this day I swear upon it, no matter how broken I am.
We weren’t meant to be together when we first met.
We were two lost souls finding solace in the other.
But eight years later, I still want her.
I forbid myself from loving her then.
And I am unable to love her now.
If only my heart would listen.
It won’t.
EXCERPT:

I thought she was beautiful when I first saw her, but she had a sadness on her face that reminded me too much of my own sadness. But now she reminds me of the fire dancing with the sky. Her head is thrown back in a laugh, her blonde hair billowing in the wind, a smile splitting across her face that makes her look even more beautiful. Her eyes are closed but I know if they were to open a bright emerald would pierce the night, reflecting off the stars in the sky. My eyes roam down her body. Her jeans are so tight they could be painted on, doing an incredible job of showing off the curves of her hips and ass. She has on a tight top that accentuates her large breasts and tiny waist. She must be the dream of every boy here. And I do see a few looking her way as she cackles at the stars.
Before I know it, I find myself walking toward her. I’m drawn to her like a river to the sea. I have no idea what I’m going to say to her or why I am even thinking of talking to her. I know she is young, too young for me. But there is something about her that won’t let me stay away.
Her friend from the ice cream shop nudges her as I approach.
“Hey stranger,” she says with a laugh. It’s then I notice her smoking a joint. No wonder she looks so carefree.
“Hi.”
She squints at me and then a huge smile hits her face. “I remember you now. You were the hot, sexy stranger that came into the ice cream shop the other day.”
Her friend nudges her and whispers, “You can’t say that shit out loud.”
“Well, it’s not like he doesn’t know,” she says as she gives me a once over.
I’m glad it’s dark because I would be embarrassed as hell if she saw the slight flush to my cheeks. “Yeah, I thought I recognized you,” I say, ignoring her comment.
“I’m Tacoma, by the way.”
God, even her name is sexy. “Ryder.”
“Nice to officially meet you, Ryder,” she says as she sticks her hand out to me. I shake it and hold back the urge to pull her closer to me. Neither of us let go of each other’s hands. She smiles up at me, white teeth gleaming, her eyes letting on more than she thinks as I look into the depths of them. I can’t help but smile too as our handshake still holds steady.
Someone coughs behind us and she jumps away from me. “Ugh, this is my friend Laney.”
“Nice to meet you,” Laney says just as someone yells over to Tacoma.
“Yo Calloway, you’re up!”
Tacoma looks over her shoulder and nods to the guy calling her over. She goes to take off in his direction but she grabs my hand first and drags me behind her. “You’re my new partner.”
“Partner for what—?” I start but then see us hauling it over to the beer pong table.
She turns around and walks backward facing me as she talks, her hand still in mine. “You ever play?”
I shrug. “Once or twice.”
“Hmm, maybe I shouldn’t have you as my partner.” She releases my hand and takes another hit of the joint still in her hand.
I smirk at her. “Maybe I’ll have beginner’s luck.”
She blows the smoke out and giggles. “You’re right. Beginner’s luck. Good thing you are with the reignin’ champion.”
“Is that right?” I ask as we walk up to the table.
“Just you wait and see.” She grins and then passes the joint to me. “Want some?”
“Nah. Can’t.”
She raises a brow at me.
“I’m on leave. I still get tested.”
She grips my bicep. “Military guy. Must be why these biceps are so big.”
I laugh out loud at that. “Yeah if it weren’t for the Marines, I’d probably be a skinny kid with more bones than muscle and then you wouldn’t find me hot and sexy.”
A flush hits her cheeks. “I don’t know about that. You do have a pretty gorgeous face.”
“Oh so I’m gorgeous now too?”
She rolls her eyes and passes the joint off to someone standing by the table. “Let’s get this show started.”
The game is set up bracket style with eight teams. And we smoke our competition. Every round we sink the balls in the beer with a turn each. When we get to the final round, I let Tacoma go first and she sinks every single ball. She jumps into my arms when we win and the feel of her body makes me feel things in places I shouldn’t. I know she is young, and this is a dangerous game despite all the flirting between us.
She slides down my body and punches me in the arm. “I thought you said you never played before.”
“I told you beginner’s luck.”
“You are such a liar.”
I wrap an arm around her shoulders before I realize what I’m doing. I blame it on the buzz from beer pong. “How do you think we pass the time on base?”
She bops me on the nose. “You suck.” But she is laughing the whole time. I know I shouldn’t be around this girl but her carefree spirit is addictive.
She starts pulling me toward a crop of trees. Trees I noticed earlier is where people go to make out. I stop her before we get past the cars. Stopping between two pickup trucks.
“Why are you stoppin’?”
I give her a stern look. “I know what goes on over there.”
“And why do you not wanna go?” she asks with a cute pout on her face.
I cross my arms and lean against the truck at my back, giving us some distance. “How old are you?”
“Old enough,” she responds, copying my pose against the truck at her back.

***Book Blitz*** The Holiday Bride By Lorhainne Eckhart (The Wilde Brothers, #9)

The Holiday Bride
Lorhainne Eckhart
(The Wilde Brothers, #9)
Publication date: January 6th 2020
Genres: Adult, Romance, Western
All Trinity Cooper Wilde wanted was a quiet Christmas alone with her baby, a baby no one knows about but her twin sister, Dawn.
Dawn has warned Trinity that she needs to come clean and tell everyone about the baby, including the father, Garrett Franke, their former neighbor, whom Trinity has hated since tenth grade—with the exception of one night last year, a mistake.
Her family is starting to wonder why she hasn’t come home to visit in over six months, and Trinity knows time is running out. She plans to tell everyone, but she gets happily stuck in an unexpected snowstorm in her tiny cabin, located outside a small Idaho town.
Deputy Garrett Franke still can’t get Trinity out of his mind, especially considering he works side by side with her dad, Sheriff Logan Wilde. When Dawn unexpectedly pulls him aside one day, he allows her to convince him to drive out to a remote cabin in the middle of a snowstorm to check on her sister, whom no one has heard from since the storm hit.
That’s the thing about snowstorms: You never know who’ll show up at your door, and a baby isn’t the kind of secret that can stay that way for long.
EXCERPT:
As she watched, her stomach pitched. The sheriff’s logo was visible on the side door, and her alarm bells went off. It had to be her dad! She felt like a teenager again, and her mind went blank as to how she would explain this, her baby.
She slammed the door to the cabin, feeling panic lick at the back of her throat as she stared down at her baby, who appeared sound asleep now. Then she did the one thing she’d never expected she’d do: She flicked off the lights, stepped outside, and pulled the door closed behind her.
The lights of the truck were in her face, blinding her, and the door was open on the driver’s side. Time had suddenly run out, and she pasted a smile to her face as she took in the tall man in a heavy coat and hat stepping around the vehicle.
Then her world tilted.
Garrett Franke walked toward her, tall and rugged, and for a second, she had to remind herself to breathe.

***Book Blitz*** No Damaged Goods By Nicole Snow

No Damaged Goods
Nicole Snow
Publication date: February 20th 2020
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Fearless firefighter. Mesmerizing voice. Damaged single dad.
Stick a freaking fork in me…

There’s a reason he’s called Mr. Silver Tongue.
Blake Silverton could sweet talk an angel into sin.
Fierce small-town fire chief. Rough velvet voice. Drop dead gorgeous.
Don’t even get me started on the tortured single dad thing.
Wintering in Heart’s Edge isn’t a choice when my van goes kaboom!
Neither is gawking at the human bulldozer who keeps charging to my rescue.
If only we could stop butting heads.
But I’m a healer. What’s wrong with offering a grumpasaurus a massage?
I’m hardly obsessed.
I’m not tuning into his radio love line every single night.
That charred lump of coal he calls a heart isn’t that fascinating.
I can handle one itsy bitsy insta-wildfire kiss.
Those fires some arsonist punk keeps setting around town, though…
Fine. I know I don’t belong in Blake’s desperado world.
Only, he won’t let me go until I’m safe.
Some men wear Bad Idea on their sleeve.
But sometimes the heart falls hard for damaged goods.
Hold me.
From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow – cupid slaps some sense into one small-town protector who swore he’d never love again. Witness an ultra broody hero man coming back to life for the spitfire he can’t live without. Full-length standalone romance novel with a bold shot of Happily Ever After.
EXCERPT:
Lines of age and maybe frowns, maybe laughter, trace wild history around his mouth, his eyes. He’s got cheekbones for days, a mouth like a cruel kiss, and his pulse ticks in stark highlight against his strong, firm throat as the light glides over him.
Oh. My. God.
He’s grimmer than I expected.
Harder.
An absolute stone of a man.
That softness I’d heard in his voice isn’t there in his face. Almost like his body’s a granite vault for holding the gentleness hidden away inside.
Why, Blake? I can’t help wondering.
But I think I get a little hint of an answer as he turns, striding toward me.
He moves like a man who knows how powerful he is.
Slow and controlled, smooth ripples of chiseled musculature trailing down from broad shoulders, over the sweat-darkened pull of pecs against his clinging black shirt. The tight line of his abs and narrow hips switch in a rhythm that’s as sensuous as a hunting panther’s slink.
But he also moves like a man who knows what hell is.
Somehow, I don’t think it’s just firefighting that taught him.
He’s favoring his left leg. Some kind of injury, the kind of walk that says he’s learned how to hide it, but he can’t always keep it down.
His strength fights against his own weight. He’s built to support that wall of a body, but every ounce of well-crafted muscle is also another ounce of pressure crushing down on the invisible wound, making him list just slightly to the left with every stride.
I probably wouldn’t notice if I wasn’t used to searching for pain.
That’s what massage therapists do.
Learn people’s pain, so I can tame it and chase it away.
But he’s stoic, withdrawn, as he stops in front of me, scanning my body with a critical eye that makes me feel kind of like one of those dummies they teach you first aid on.
Eep. So much for all those flutters. My butterflies just iced over.
“You Peace?” he growls.
I smile faintly, pulling my frozen fingers from my pocket to wiggle them at him in a little wave. “Only person out here with a burning wreck. Blake, right?”
He only grunts, giving me another one of those looks. “You’re not hurt?”
“No.” I shake my head. “I jumped out and got away as soon as I had the van parked on the side of the road. I’m just cold.”
“Lucky it’s not quite cold enough tonight for hypothermia, but you’ll still catch a chill.”
He takes a step back then, retreating to the fire truck, and digs out one of those massive, thick fire jackets from a side compartment. It’s deep grey with reflective yellow and orange bands on the sleeves and back.
Slowly, he returns to me and swings it around my shoulders.
For a moment, I’m almost wrapped up in his arms. He reaches around me to pull the jacket tight, draping it over my shoulders and then drawing it in to bundle me up.
Now, my butterflies are thawed.
And it’s definitely not the jacket leaving my face so hot my ears burn against the cold, the contrast bordering on painful.
Oh, no.
Why did he have to be so…so…
That.
All of that, including the faint whiff of cologne and Goliath I get as he straightens, still looking at me with this fierce, unmovable gaze.

***Book Blitz*** Deceived By Lisa Hughey (Alias, #5)

Deceived
Lisa Hughey
(Alias, #5)
Publication date: February 3rd 2020
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense
He’s done rescuing people. She doesn’t want to be rescued. They’re both about to be disappointed.
The next installment in the ALIAS world features disgraced partner Marsh Adams who is seeking redemption and Ayesha Brown, an up and coming artist with a huge problem. This reverse heist, bodyguard for a woman in peril interracial romance features a strong family theme.
EXCERPT:
The door swung open with a crash. “Sorry I’m late.” A slender Black woman swept in like a tropical storm.
His first impression was color.
Bright, vibrant movement. Whirling dervish. And color.
He started at the bottom and surveyed his way up.
Worn, pale blue Converse high-tops splattered with paint. Ripped skinny jeans with splotches of paint in bold red, yellow, bright blue, even some neon green and orange. A white tunic sweater slipped off one shoulder revealing bare skin and collarbones. The nipples of her small breasts pushed against the top, boldly proclaiming her braless.
Her face was stunning: high cheekbones, regal nose, black arched brows. Striking hazel eyes shimmered with secrets and mirth, as if she had a private joke just for them.
Except everyone probably felt like that around her.
She was one of those people who oozed magnetism and sex appeal.
Just like his father, if he were honest. And that thought made him want to gag and then spew all over the old man’s office.
She had skin the color of rich Brazilian hardwood and hair a natural halo around her face. She had another splotch of paint on her bare neck, and her fingers were long and elegant and adorned with paint, as she gestured at the old men. “Problem on the metro. Was stuck on the train.”
Everything about her screamed free spirit and unrestrained joy.
“Ayesha, darling.” The judge walked toward her with open arms and embraced her. He squeezed her tightly, just a little too long. But in an odd turn of events, Marsh didn’t think his father’s touch was sexual. He seemed almost paternal.
That was weird.
“Good to see you again as well, Uncle Bobby.”
“Lovely to see you again, my dear.” His father slung his arm over the woman’s shoulder and turned her to face Marsh. “This is my son, Marsh.”
Uncle Bobby? Now Marsh was really confused.
“Marsh, I want you to help Ayesha.”
What the hell?
#
Ayesha Brown stopped in her tracks. Raised one eyebrow and scanned her gaze over Marsh Adams.
So this was Marsh Adams.
She’d been hearing about the prodigal son for years, but she’d never met him.
He was…not what she expected. Oh, he looked a little bit like his father, taller, thinner, with his paternity written in the austere lines of his pale white face. She tilted her head and studied the angles of his face—he had the square jaw and high forehead that emphasized his eyes, but his nose was crooked, adding interest to the otherwise perfect lines. Peripherally she noted his clothes, appreciating the suit porn.
Pinstripes. Tie. Shiny shoes. Stuffy. Tightly wound. Buttoned up. But that nose didn’t fit with the rest of his appearance.
Since she knew how much heartache he had caused his father, she nodded once at him and stuffed her hands in her pockets. A clear rejection of cultural normative standards. She wasn’t about to shake his hand.

Author Bio:
USA Today Bestselling Author Lisa Hughey has been writing romance since the fourth grade, which was also about the time she began her love affair with spies. Harriet and Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys later gave way to James Bond and Lara Croft and Jason Bourne.
Exploring the complex nature of a profession that requires subterfuge and lies fascinates her. She loves combining her two passions into fiction. As evidenced by her Black Cipher Files series.
Archangel Rafe was her first foray into the paranormal but after spending time in the Angelic Realm, it won't be her last. At their heart, the Seven novels are about the dynamics of family relationships. But the really hot Archangels don't hurt.
And recently she's been immersed in the Stone Family novellas, four stories about a blended family of brothers and sister who have a lot more in common than they realize. But of course she couldn't just write about family and romance. There are complex plots, bad guys, and suspense too.
Lisa loves to hear from readers and has various places you can connect with her, although, shh, Twitter is her favorite.

****Book Blitz*** Destroyed By Eva Dresden (Omega’s Destruction #3)

Destroyed
Eva Dresden
(Omega’s Destruction #3)
Publication date: February 13th 2020
Genres: Adult, Dark Romance, Omegaverse
Broken and damaged, Quinn refuses to be destroyed.
She rages against the bond Tobias Kahler forced her to complete between them, denying the pull of her claim set into his soul that fateful day. Struggling against the power of his will, she won’t become the smiling, placid thing he attempts to mold her to be.
An unseen foe seeks to take matters into their own hands, threatening Quinn and everything she holds dear. Forced to cling to Tobias for support and strength with the constant threat, he’s thrown into a whole new light. One where Quinn faces seeing him for more than the monster she’s feared and hated.
Amidst their violent past and ever turbulent future, they must learn to accept one another as they are or in this final battle, much more than bodies will lay broken.
Destroyed is the third and final book in the Omega’s Destruction Trilogy, a raw and thrilling Omegaverse tale. It is not a traditional romance, containing dark themes and complete power exchange. Scenes are not glossed over, which may be distressing for some readers.
EXCERPT:
She was incomplete now. Not just bound to the man, subject to his will, but he in return. Tobias Kahler had gotten what he wanted the moment he forced her to claim him. He’d invaded not just her body, but her mind and soul far beyond the constraints of social acceptance. No one else would have dared to create the vicious circle between them, throwing away generations of beliefs and plunging headfirst into the taboo. Her will pitted against his was a small and frightened thing.
She never stood a chance against something so devious, so underhanded.
Quinn was the perfect slave now, or she would be once she’d been battered into complete submission. Something that she’d once sworn would never happen to her was an all too real probability now. Each day it was harder to fight her way free of the heady warmth, more difficult to deny the comfort and serenity that basking in his presence gave her. Surrounded on all sides as her sense of self was stripped away one tangled thread at a time, it was him, always him in her thoughts. One touch, one whiff of his scent, and she was lost.
“Shh, little bird. It’s all right,” he murmured against her shoulder, lips moving against the thick scars of his mark. Three bites, all mangling her skin into an atrocity that said she was his and would never escape it. The wet heat of his tongue moved over the wrinkled flesh, tasting the salt of her sweat, swallowing her down.
Whining into the sheets, she tried to jostle away as the sensation of working muscle, heady pleasure, and satisfaction assaulted her. They weren’t hers, but the lines separating Quinn from him were blurred, softening with every ragged breath. With him locked tight against her, she wasn’t going anywhere. Not until he released her.
He had no intentions of doing that anytime soon.

Author Bio:
Eva Dresden writes dark romance that lives up to its name with every turn of the page. Her heroines are tragic and strong, her heroes are anything but, and tearing characters apart to see what makes them really tick is a favored past time. Her cat is her staunchest supporter, provided there are treats involved.

Amihanna doesn’t know who to trust anymore, but she hasn’t survived this long by ignoring the warning signs all around her, especially when her instincts are screaming that a familiar choice is coming: flee or fight.
Her parents assure her everything is okay—that there won’t be any reason for her to fight, let alone flee—but with Amihanna’s sudden return, questions arise among the Aunare: who should be blamed for the start of a full-scale war with SpaceTech, how much danger will the war bring, and is Amihanna truly fit to be the next high queen?
Honestly, Amihanna wants to forget all the politics, her betrothal to Lorne, and the possibility of being queen. Her needs are much more basic. All she wants is a solid night’s sleep where she doesn’t wake up screaming with the phantom pain of her skin burning. All she needs is to live without fear of a mob tearing her away from her family. All she hopes for is a chance to dream of a future instead of constantly fighting for her right to live.
And yet, somehow, everything she does leads her back to Lorne. He always seems to know when she’s about to break under the pressures of her new life. His quiet patience is wearing Amihanna’s protective walls down, and she’s terrified of what will happen if they fall.
EXCERPT:
“Let’s get this one thing straight—I’m not breaking our betrothal contract.” He stalked back to me. “Not now. Not ever. If you want to break it, then we’ll discuss it. They’ve talked a lot about our contract on the news, so I’m sure you have it in your head that I’m planning on breaking it. But I’m not. I haven’t brought it up because you’ve been dealing with enough. I was giving you time, but I’d marry you tomorrow if I thought you’d agree.”
Tomorrow? I had zero clue before this moment that he was completely insane. He couldn’t marry me, especially not tomorrow. I couldn’t be queen.
“What if I want to break our betrothal?” I wasn’t sure I did, but I wasn’t sure I didn’t either.
He strode quickly to me, knelt in front of my chair. I hugged my legs tighter to my chest, but he grabbed my ankles. “Look at me.”
I looked everywhere but him.
“Look at me, please.” He squeezed my ankles and let go. “Please.”
I blew out a breath and rested my chin on my knees so that I could meet his gaze. It was hard to really look at him. Every time I did, I wanted him more and more, and I wasn’t sure how much more I could want him without becoming completely addicted. It took everything in me not to wrap my arms around his neck and pull him to me.
He let go of one ankle and cupped my cheek. “Do you want to marry me?” He was using his low voice, the one that set my skin on fire.
My skin was so bright and my stomach fluttered and flipped and I forced myself to choke down my first immediate response. The dumb one that wanted to slide past my lips effortlessly. I couldn’t answer his question because I didn’t trust myself to give him the right answer. The one that made sense.
All signs of anger melted away from him. His back straightened, he held his head high, his fao’ana stopped flashing, and his skin dimmed a little.
But it was his smile that told me he knew exactly what I’d been thinking.
“This is where being your shalshasa comes into play. I’m as sensitive to frequencies as you are, but even more attuned to yours. I can feel your frequencies as your moods shift. Your immediate answer was going to be yes before you got scared.” He rose just a little, cupping my face with both his hands, and all I could see were his aquamarine eyes.
The color I associated with calm and safety. The color I’d painted the walls in my room on Earth so that I could feel more at home. The color I wanted to get lost in forever.
He brushed a soft kiss on my lips. It was quick, too quick, and it left me wanting more.
“Until you can say no—honestly and without stress—I’m going to assume your answer is yes, and that you just need more time. I don’t want fear to be a part of your decision. Okay?”
He leaned in for another kiss, and I wanted. I wanted it more than anything. But I made myself lean back in the chair, pulling my face from his hands.
“I can’t do this.” The words were shaky, but I’d said them. I had to stop it before this went too far.
“Why?”
“Because…” There were too many reasons.
Because he needed a queen.
Because I didn’t want that much responsibility.
“Because you deserve someone not broken.” That wasn’t the one I meant to go with, but words slipping out of me seemed to be the theme for our little chat.
“You’re not broken. If anything, you’re confused. Which is totally understandable. You’ve been through a very rough thirteen years, and memories that would help you readjust to being home aren’t there. So, you need some time to heal. Which is what I’ve been giving you. I think you’d feel less fragile if you got a decent night’s sleep. If you ate more. If you took a moment to take care of yourself instead of spending twenty hours a day in the gym. Declan and his mission are going to kill you.”

Standing up straight and looking into the mirror, I see Sal standing behind me, wet from a shower. His chest is bare with the exception of a thin silver chain, a cross attached and dangling from his neck. The only thing he has on are gray track pants, hanging low on his waist, showing the perfect shape of his toned hips and slender build. The definition of muscle from his chest to his stomach as it makes its way down his body has my mouth watering. God, he’s perfect. He has a towel in his hand, the motion of drying his short hair halted at the sight of me in his bedroom. His dark eyes burn into mine. I can feel his stare all the way to my toes. Those familiar goose bumps are back and covering every inch of my skin. Without breaking eye contact, I explain my intrusion into his personal space, “I…I um, the door was open.” He looks over at the door then back at me. Heat rises up my neck and I feel it coloring my cheeks. I turn to face him, my face red with embarrassment. The tension is heavy that I came in without being asked and found him half naked. “You said you wanted to talk to me? Before I left.”
He doesn’t say a word, just walks towards me and puts the towel onto the chair next to his bed. As he passes me, he lays a hand on my waist. Sal pulls me closer to him as he turns. His arms wrap around my waist and I’m surprised at the intimate way he hugs me. Sal holds me tight, like he’s missed me. It’s strange but feels so good. His hand moves up my back and rests on the back of my head. I sink deeper into his arms. My hands come up to rest on his chest, my cheek pressing against him just below his neck. He holds me as if I’m cherished, as if I belong here in his embrace. Inhaling deep, I’m lost in the sweet scent of sandalwood, sawdust and fresh cut grass. He pulls away from me a little, just enough so that our bodies still touch. His forehead comes down to rest against mine. My eyes are closed, and I can feel his breath against my lips. I don’t move, I don’t breathe. Sal removes the band holding my braid at the base of my spine, releasing my unruly hair. I exhale the breath I’m holding as his hands separate my braid section by section. He slightly pulls on my hair as he climbs his fingers up toward my scalp. The curls surround me, the smell of lavender from my conditioner overtaking his scent. He rubs my scalp, keeping his forehead against mine. It’s the best feeling. The tenderness of my head from the heavy braid easing a little from his attention. His hands move around to my neck, his thumbs caressing my jaw. His voice is like gravel when he finally speaks. “You. Are. So. Beautiful.” Each word he says as a statement, with so much passion behind each word. “When I’m around you and I can’t hold you like this, I can’t breathe.” He lays a kiss on my forehead, then each of my cheeks. “I want to take you somewhere. Will you go somewhere with me, tomorrow?” His hand now rests on my cheek. The look in his eyes makes me feel needed. Wanted. I can’t believe that so quickly I would feel this safe and secure with Sal. Just knowing that no matter what he asks of me, I won’t deny him.

EXCERPT:
“You’re quiet. What’s wrong?” Bree glances at me and back to the windshield as she stops with a jerk in our parking space.
“Just tired.” I pull the handle and push my shoulder against the door. Heaving my pack to my shoulders, I meet her in front of the car.
She hooks an arm in mine as we walk to the apartment building entrance. “I usually can’t shut you up. Talk to me. What’s going on?”
“I miss Adam. It’s been a month since we’ve seen each other. I don’t know if I can do this anymore.”
“What do you mean? Stay here or stay with him?”
“I love him, and we’re miserable apart. But we’ve got two more years of school.”
“Only two more weeks till summer break.” She skips ahead of me and presses the elevator button. “Let’s do a girls’ movie night. We’ll order pizza and eat popcorn.”
We evaluate movie and takeout options on the elevator ride. She complains that I always want to watch Titanic, and I veto her hamburger dive restaurant choice. Reaching our floor, we wind through the maze of halls. As I make the last turn, I stop short.
Sweeping his bangs from in front of his blue eyes, he stands.
“Adam?”
“It’s about time!” Crossing to me, he picks me up and twirls me around.
I step out of his embrace. “What are you doing here?”
He slides a page from his back pocket and holds it out to me. “I just picked up this.”
I take the sheet and unfold it. Adam Stephen Hamilton Schedule for Fall Semester, the top reads.
“You’re going to school here?” My mouth hangs open.
“I hope that’s okay!”
“Of course. It’s amazing!”
“Well, in that case, I have something else.” He drops to one knee and slides a box from his pocket. “Chloe Hahn Pham, will you marry me?”
I look to Bree, who shrugs, and then back to him, barely able to process what is happening. My breath catches in my throat. “I—”
His eyebrows shoot up. “I’m sorry. You know I’m not great with stuff like this. Maybe I should have made a sign or had music, or something. If this is too soon—”
“No. I was going to say I love you. Yes. It’s perfect!”

***Book Blitz*** Feisty By Julia Kent (Do-Over Series, #3)

Feisty
Julia Kent
(Do-Over Series, #3)
Publication date: January 28th 2020
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance
I’m not too proud to admit that finding Mr. Right involves swiping right. Right? Welcome to dating in avocado toastland.
Here I am, on my first blind date, ever, courtesy of a smartphone app and my two annoying best friends.
So what is Chris “Fletch” Fletcher doing, walking across the room, looking at his phone like he’s pattern matching a picture to find a real person he’s never met before?
Oh.
Oh, no.
The guy I drop-kicked in seventh grade cannot be my blind date. The guy who earned me this infernal nickname.
That’s right.
Feisty.

More from New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent as Fiona “Feisty” Gaskill gets her chance at love – drop-kick included.
EXCERPT:
“Fletch?” I gasp as Perky smiles and walks away, abandoning me in my time of need.
“Hey, Fiona. What’re you doing here?” He looks down at my drink. “Nice penis.”
“Excuse me?”
He points to my chai latte. “Perky did a good job. I was in here last week and she made some beautiful flower patterns on my latte.” He frowns, then his eyebrows shoot up. “Hold on. Those weren’t flowers, were they?”
I laugh.
“Wow. And they seemed so… detailed. And gorgeous.”
My sides are splitting.
“Please… stop… flowers…” I gasp.
“That latte did give me a sudden desire to go to a Georgia O’Keeffe show, though.”
I rush to take a sip of my chai latte and make the penis go away. Fletch watches me, mouth spreading into a wider grin, his green eyes shining as he crosses his arms over his chest.
It’s only then that I realize he’s wearing real clothes. A crisp, light purple dress shirt, open at the neck, tucked into khahis. He has actual leather shoes – and not for weight lifting or cross-training – on his feet. His hair is styled but not sticky, and he has a close, clean shave.
His aftershave is divine.
“You’re not in workout gear. Or a paramedic’s uniform,” I say as I blot the foam on the tip of my nose, wondering if it’s ruined my makeup.
“And you look lovely tonight. A little overdressed for a Beanerino latte with Perky,” he says, waving to her from across the room as she swings a hand towel in the air like she’s a date-night air traffic controller.
“I have a date.”
“So do I.”
“You don’t have a man bun, do you?”
He looks down at his crotch. “Is that like camel toe for guys?”

Author Bio:

From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes.
