Excerpt:
A devilish, almost villainous grin graced his lips as his eyes filled with amusement. “Oh, Gabriella, you’ve no idea,” he said. “I shouldn’t do this. I shouldn’t be here, but I can’t seem to help myself.” His words caught me off guard as his hands gripped my hips and he pushed me backwards until the brick of the wall bit into the skin of my lower back. He leaned down until his lips were dangerously close to mine. My insides quivered, and my heart leaped into my throat. For an entire week, I’d been waiting for his hands to be on me again, and now that he was right there, I knew I’d die if he didn’t touch me. Kiss me. Take me home and ravish me like he had that first night. “Adrian,” I whispered, surprised at the breathy, sultry tone of my voice. God, it’d only been a week and I was already dangerously addicted to him. His eyes gleamed as if he could read my mind, and I wondered if this has been his plan all along. To give me a taste, a perfect sneak peek at what being his would be like, and then take it away, only to keep showing up to tease me. To dangle the proverbial carrot on the string that was too high for me to get a taste or even the slightest nibble. It would suffice only for a moment, but it would be just enough to keep me from going insane. He was a deranged Pavlov and I was his little dog, salivating and panting, wanting him, that torturous bell ringing over and over again, but instead of giving me what I wanted, he kept it too far out of reach.

Book Title: A Tragic Wreck
Author: T.K. Leigh
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: February 4, 2013

Synopsis

How can you continue living when you’re living a lie?

How can you convince your body to stop feeling, your soul to stop caring, and your heart to stop beating?

Haunted by her past, Olivia Adler flees Boston for a beach in Florida, leaving everyone behind, trying to shut the world out. Remaining a relative recluse in her self-imposed prison, she tries to turn everything off, wanting to feel nothing. But a new acquaintance won’t let that happen. After being away from Alexander for a month, his voice constantly ringing in her head, reminding her that her inability to confront her demons will not only destroy her, but also him, can she really be expected to want to feel again when it brings nothing but pain?

Back in Boston, everywhere he turns, Alexander Burnham is reminded of Olivia… His Olivia… He tries to dull the ache left in his heart the only way he knows how… in the bed of a beautiful woman. But Alexander isn’t about to lose his Olivia. After a clue comes to light regarding Olivia’s whereabouts, can he convince her to return to Boston with him? When a force that has laid dormant for months resurfaces, can Alexander still protect her from the unknown danger? And when Alexander comes face to face with a shadow of both his and Olivia’s past, will he be able to tell her the secret that is threatening to tear them apart?

A Tragic Wreck is the continuation of T.K. Leigh’s heart-breaking Beautiful Mess series.

  Excerpt

“Well, then, what do you want from me, Olivia?” he asked loudly, watching her walk away.

She spun around abruptly and searched his eyes. “I don’t want you to always feel like you have to come and help me, Alex,” she whimpered, her throat beginning to close up again, thinking about the man who was no longer hers. “I just want you to stand by my side while I try to help myself.” Her eyes narrowed, staring at him as he remained silent on the busy Boston street. “Do you think you can do that?” She looked at him as snow continued to blanket the sidewalk, desperately wanting him to say that yes, he could do that. That he would stand by her side. That he would forget all about her running out on him. And that he would do anything he could to make sure she never did the same thing again.

But instead, Alexander just stood there and stared, not saying anything.

Several moments passed, the silence deafening. “That’s what I thought.” Her eyes fell as she turned and continued to walk, shivering from the snow and the last shattered pieces of her heart being stomped on.

Alexander tried to open his mouth to say something. Anything. Tell her to wait. Stop. He made a mistake. But nothing came out. He knew he had just let the only woman he would ever truly love walk out of his life. And he did nothing. He watched his entire world fall apart and he didn't do anything to stop it. All of a sudden, he felt more lonely than he had ever felt in all his thirty years.

***Cover Reveal / Blitz* / Giveaway** In Darkness We Must Abide Season 2 By Rhiannon Frater

In Darkness We Must Abide Season 2 by Rhiannon Frater
Publication date: December 16th 2013
Genres: Adult, Horror, Paranormal

Synopsis:

In Darkness We Must Abide is the epic saga of one young woman caught in the dangerous world of the creatures of the night.

Vanora is haunted by the night her faith in those she loved was shattered. After fleeing Houston, she takes refuge in Austin and creates a normal life with her roommate Rhonda. Despite her newfound happiness, Vanora is tormented by dreams and visions of an enigmatic and dangerous albino vampire.

When her world starts to fall apart and Armando comes back into her life to warn her that her brother is in danger, Vanora realizes that she can’t escape her destiny. Evil threatens her family, and she must venture into the darkness to save everyone she cares about.

As she seeks to uncover the truth about the terrifying albino vampire and her purpose in his schemes, Vanora starts to realize that the man she loves most may be her greatest enemy. Rhiannon Frater delivers a chilling adventure once again with this multi-part epic serial with a dynamic cast, old school vampires, bloody action, a smoldering forbidden love, and a terrifying villain set against the backdrop of a modern day vampire war.

This book includes all five episodes of the second season of the serial.

In Darkness We Must Abide
A Modern Horror with a Gothic Romance
By Rhiannon Frater

In Darkness We Must Abide is a very unique experience for me as a horror writer. Not
only is it a continuing serial with three planned seasons, but it’s also a story driven by
the relationship between my two leads, Armando and Vanora.

Growing up, I loved gothic romance. Jane Eyre continues to be my all-time favorite
novel. I used to gobble up Victoria Holt novels like candy. I loved the complications of a
gothic romance. The characters were flawed, but somehow had dynamic chemistry. The
endings were not always happy, but the couples were always fascinating to read about.
It’s that type of romance I’ve infused into my serial.

Armando and Vanora are not perfect people. Armando is a 400-year-old vampire
with many, many secrets. The Spanish vampire is often torn between his service to
his mysterious, dangerous vampire Master and the feelings he has for Vanora and her
family. Vanora is an albino, and the world is not always kind to her. Orphaned at a
young age, she’s been raised by older siblings. To make matters even more complicated,
Vanora has inherited her mother’s sixth sense and when she first meets Armando
she senses danger. Despite all their difficulties, both characters’ actions are heavily
influenced by their feelings for each other, in both good and bad ways.

When our story begins, Vanora is ten years old when her life changes forever, when
her brother brings home their ancestors from Romania to be interred at their estate in
Houston, Texas. When Roman has one of the old coffins unchanged, he unleashes an
evil that threatens not only his life, but that of his two half-sisters, Alisha and Vanora.

A few years later, a mysterious stranger, Armando, enters her life and Vanora develops a
mad crush on the charismatic Spanish vampire. All is not what it seems with Armando,
and he is a keeper of many secrets that can potentially adversely affect her life. Through
the first four episodes we witness Vanora growing up and becoming a strong young
woman. By the end of episode four, The Gift, Armando has taken note as well, which
leads to the dramatic and heartbreaking events in episode 5, The Vampires.

Because Armando doesn’t fully enter the story until episode 3, The Arrival of Armando
DeLeon, I was had to find an inventive way to let the reader know about his impending
arrival. I already knew from past beta readers that he is a huge draw to the story. That
is how the prologues were born. Each episode starts in the “present” time period, where
an adult Vanora is interacting with Armando, then flashes backwards in time. Each
prologue hints at terrible events happening in the present time period and hints that
something passionate once happened between Armando and Vanora, though they appear estranged.

At the beginning of Season 2, we get to see the aftermath of the events in the season one
finale. Vanora fled Houston to Austin and believes she’s escaped the darkness, but over
the course of Episode 6 and 7 it becomes increasingly apparent that she has a legacy that
was hidden from her and can’t escape. Magic becomes a more pronounced element in
her development, and, of course, Armando is never very far away even if she can’t see
him. At the beginning of Episode 8 the readers get to see events in the previous prologue
from Armando’s point of view, which was a lot of fun to write. Season 2 finally brings the
two timelines together in Episode 8, but in a very heartbreaking way. What happens in
Episode 8 has a massive fallout in the final two episodes of the second season.

Armando and Vanora continue to be at the core of the story as they face the ultimate evil
that’s coming to destroy their lives. As always, the dynamic between the two characters
is very intense and their relationship evolves in a way that I believe will make many of
the fans happy. Armando is a complicated guy and though people love him, they don’t
always trust him. In the second season we get to see into the core of the vampire and his
true thoughts and motivations.

Season two is also filled with elements of horror, adventure, drama, and gothic romance.
There may even be a sexy scene or two. The events in this season definitely build on the
first and set the stage for a very exciting, dramatic, and intense Season 3.

Of course, whether or not Vanora and Armando get a happy ending has yet to be seen,
but they’re both very determined characters that will fight until the very end.

Excerpt :

First Fight:

I felt his body give a little in my arms, and he finally put his arms around me. We stood there
with our arms wrapped around each other, saying nothing. The movement of the train gently
listed us back and forth, but Adam’s feet remained firmly planted, holding us steady.

“We just had our first real fight,” I whispered.

It wasn’t entirely true. We had fought once before. It had been about the accident and had
ended with me running out on him with the intention of never going back. It had been a turning
point in our relationship. So it was hard to think of it as nothing more than a ‘fight.’ This was our
first argument that wasn’t related to our past.

I looked around to see if anyone had witnessed this monumental event, but the only other
passenger was a woman with earbuds stuck in her ears at the other end of the car. She tapped her
foot along to whatever she was listening to and read from a book she held in front of her face.
Adam’s hand wandered from around my waist to my backside. He squeezed it and buried his
face in my hair. “You know, there’s only one thing to do after a fight,” he growled, just as we
conveniently pulled into our stop.

“What’s that?” I asked coyly.

“Make-up sex. I need to get you home. Right. Fucking. Now. If you’re lucky, we’ll make it.”

“If I’m lucky, maybe we won’t,” I chided him.

“Oh, that’s it,” he said. Before I knew what was even happening, his hands were back around
my waist, and he hoisted me over his shoulder. This was the second time in as many weeks that
he’d thrown me over his shoulder in a public place.

“Adam,” I said, smacking him on his butt as he strode purposefully through the open train
door. “You’ve got to stop carrying me around like this. It’s not dignified.”

“I don’t give a shit about dignified.” Oblivious to everyone around us, he carried me through
the tunnel and up the stairs to the street. Only after we were on Broadway did he put me down.

“Now keep up,” he said, dragging me toward our building. “Or I’ll be forced to carry you the
whole way.”

I had to admit that I didn’t really mind the caveman show. In fact, there wasn’t much that I
didn’t like about my occasionally cocky, subtly tattooed, movie-quoting, cat-whispering, t-shirt-
wearing, Eminem-singing, muscle-car-loving, sweetheart of a man.
