*** Cover Reveal *** Darkness Watching By Emma L. Adams

Darkness Watching by Emma L. Adams
(Darkworld #1)
Publication date: September 30th 2013
Genres: New Adult, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy

About The Book :

Seventeen-year-old Ashlyn is one interview away from her future when she first sees the demons. She thinks she’s losing her mind, but the truth is far more frightening: she can see into the Darkworld, the home of spirits– and the darkness is staring back.

Desperate to escape the demons, Ash accepts a place at a university in the small town of Blackstone, in the middle of nowhere – little knowing that it isn’t coincidence that led her there but the pull of the Venantium, the sorcerers who maintain the barrier keeping demons from crossing from the Darkworld into our own world.

All-night parties, new friendships and a life without rules or limits are all part of the package of student life – but demons still stalk Ash, and their interest in her has attracted the attention of every sorcerer in the area. Ash is soon caught between her new life and a group of other students with a connection to the Darkworld, who could offer the answers she’s looking for. The demons want something from her,  and someone is determined to kill her before she can find out what it is.

In a world where darkness lurks beneath the surface, not everyone is what they appear to be..

 About The Author :

Emma spent her childhood creating imaginary worlds to compensate for a disappointingly average reality, so it was probably inevitable that she ended up writing fantasy and paranormal for young adults. She was born in Birmingham, UK, which she fled at the first opportunity to study English Literature at Lancaster University. In her three years at Lancaster, she hiked up mountains, skydived in Australia, and endured a traumatic episode involving a swarm of bees in the Costa Rican jungle. She also wrote various novels and short stories. These included her first publication, a rather bleak dystopian piece, and a disturbing story about a homicidal duck (which she hopes will never see the light of day).

Now a reluctant graduate, she can usually be found in front of her writing desk, creating weird and wonderful alternative worlds. Her debut novel The Puppet Spell, published in 2013 by Rowanvale Books, is a fantasy tale for young adults and the young at heart, inspired by her lifelong love of the fantastical, mythology, and video games. Emma also writes supernatural fantasy novels for older teens and adults. Her next book,Darkness Watching, is the first in the upper-YA/New Adult Darkworld series, and will be published in September 2013 by Curiosity Quills Press.

*** Cover Reveal *** Forty Nights By Stephanie Parent

About The Book :

Forty Nights (Neima's Ark #2)
By Stephanie Parent
Release Date: September 2013
Cover Designed by: Najla Qamber Designs

Summary :

Neima, her family, and her grandfather Noah have found themselves trapped aboard an
ark as a great flood destroys all life in the world. As their time aboard the ark lengthens,
food begins to run out, wild animals grow restless, and family tensions become as much of a
threat as the flood outside. In the second and final installment of Neima’s Ark, the stakes are
higher, the conflicts are greater, and Neima finds herself facing a choice as impossible as the
destruction all around her.

Forty Nights is a continuation of the story begun in Forty Days, and it’s recommended that
you read Forty Days first for the best experience. Forty Nights does, however, contain a
character guide to refresh readers’ memories. The Neima’s Ark series is a historical, feminist
reimagining of the story of Noah’s Ark rather than a religiously oriented one, and the novels
are best suited for readers who are comfortable with new interpretations of biblical stories.

                                                             About The Author :

I grew up in Colorado and moved to Nebraska in the latter half of my teen years, where I've remained. I have a great family and my father is James Dean. Yep! The James Dean. Okay in name only, but I still love to say it. I have the best husband ever! He's not afraid to do the laundry, or the dishes, and dang. He's had to survive four females and a whole lot of hormones. Poor guy! We have three beautiful daughters, and our only sons, Robby and Bentley, are of course, cats. They refuse to acknowledge their furry background, and so continue to live as humanly as possible.

Most of my work experience has been in healthcare giving me the opportunity to work with a variety of people, ranging from newborn to elderly. My true passion is writing. I'm captivated by stories that delve into facets of the human behavior: affliction, fidelity, passion, betrayal, and redemption. I prefer to take my characters through a physical journey where they learn something about themselves or take them to new and exciting places, but there is always romance involved.

About the Author:

So who am I? Well, I'm the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friend Chazz laughs at me when I scare myself watching them and tells me to stop watching them, but who doesn't love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep. Growing up in a small town, I learned a lot of values and morals, I also learned parents have spies everywhere and there's always someone to tell your mama on you. So when you get grounded, what is there left to do? Read! My Aunt Jo gave me my first real romance novel. It was a romance titled "Lord Margrave's Deception." I remember it fondly. But I also learned I had a deep and abiding love of mysteries and anything paranormal. As I grew up, I started to write just that and would entertain my friends with stories featuring them as main characters. Now, I live Huntersville, NC where I entertain my family and watch the cats get teased by the birds and laugh myself silly when they swoop down and then dive back up just out of reach. The cats start yelling something fierce...lol. I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories. You can reach me at any of these places:

Arc Review : Once Upon A Road Trip by Angela N. Blount

Summary :

Eighteen-year-old Angeli doesn’t "fit in." She’s never been on a single date, and she lives vicariously through an online world of storytelling. With the pressures of choosing a practical future path bearing down, she needs a drastic change. Too old to run away from home, she opts instead to embark on a solo 2-month road trip. But her freedom is tempered by loneliness — and anxiety tests her resolve as she comes face-to-face with her quirky internet friends.

Aside from contracting mono and repeatedly getting herself lost, Angeli's adventure is mired by more unforeseen glitches — like being detained by Canadian authorities, and a near-death experience at the hands of an overzealous amateur wrestler. Her odyssey is complicated further when she unwittingly earns the affections of two young men. One a privileged martial artist; the other a talented techie with a colorful past.

Bewildered by the emotions they stir, Angeli spurns the idea of a doomed long-distance relationship. But she is unprepared for the determination of her hopeful suitors. In the wake of her refusal, one man will betray her, and the other will prove himself worthy of a place in her future.

Angeli sets off in search of a better understanding of herself, the world, and her place in it. What she finds is an impractical love, with the potential to restore her faith in happy endings.

A true story with an unapologetically honest outlook on life, love, faith, and adventure -- Once Upon A Road Trip is a coming-of-age memoir.

Review :

"Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere; and sometimes, in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself."

I would firstly like to thank the author for giving me such a wonderful story to read and review. This is the kind of book one wouldn't forget in a hurry.
As they say "Adventure Is Out There". And this sure is one of those adventures I myself would love to go on.
Angie doesn't know what she wants from her life. Having decided to figure herself out she sets out for a 2 month road trip. Being all alone she feels vulnerable and fearful of the unknown and thus knows that is why she has to go through it so that at the end she emerges a winner. But a road trip isin't all fun and games. Over the course of 2 months Angie visits some of her friends she made on an online writing community. A couple of them she's met before but the others not so much. I really liked them but one of them just irritated me since he seemed to be such a great guy in the beginning. And the other
was simply perfect. You just want him to be the "One". Nope I'm not gonna give up the names. You have to read it for that :D & you sure will be glad that you did.

This story made me smile at times and got me angry when things got a little roughed up in Angie's journey. Although she still doesn't know what to do with her future career wise but she now has someone great amd amazing to share it with. All in all this being Angela's true story I think it was incredible. The way she grew throughout the journey, the amazing kindness she showed towards people, her gentle soul and a truly great story. Highly recommended!

Immagica…

Where anything is possible, but not always controllable.

Enter at your own risk.

The night before her fifteenth birthday, Rosaline Clayton receives an amulet from her deranged

father. He tells her she must find the book, and begs her to save him. Rosaline is used to her father

not making any sense, and she dismisses their conversation as another of his crazy rants.

Rosaline and her younger brother, Elliot, find the old, leather-bound book tucked away in their Nana’s

attic, and it sucks them into its pages. They land in a magical world where anything is possible, but

when Rosaline and Elliot are separated, the only thing Rosaline wants is to find her brother and go

home.

The creatures of Immagica have other ideas. Rosaline befriends a black unicorn, two fairies, and a

girl named Brynn, who are under threat from a menacing dragon. Rosaline discovers she is bound

to Immagica in ways she doesn’t understand, and the fate of this magical world rests entirely on her

shoulders.

Excerpt:

The book flew open and a gust of wind whipped my curls around my face. The pages riffled back and

forth before coming to a halt, open at the first page. This was getting a little weird. I was about to slam

the book shut when words began to appear of their own volition, right before our eyes.

“Um, Elliot. Can you see that? Or am I as crazy as Dad?”

“I can see it,” he whispered.

Immagica, the place where anything is possible, but not always controllable.

Enter at your own risk.

“What a load of crap,” I said, picking the book up. The new line of text flickered gold and pulsed, on

then off, then on again, like a flashing, neon sign. I gingerly picked up the corner of the page and

peeked under it to the next, but it was blank.

“How do we enter?” Elliot asked, leaning into me and staring at the book.

“Why do you keep asking me all these questions? You’re here, you know as much as I do.”

“You’re older, and always acting so much smarter than me,” Elliot said. I poked my tongue out.

“That’s real mature.” He rolled his eyes.

“Oh, so you’re Mr Maturity now you’re a teenager.”

“Sometimes I’m more mature than you!”

While we argued, we were oblivious to what was happening. The book riffled its pages again, and

another gust of wind hit our faces. Before we knew what was happening, the golden glow exploded

from the book and sucked us in. That’s the best way I can describe it. One minute we were in my

room, surrounded by my grandmother’s elegant interior decorating, and the next we were enveloped

with gold light.

At first I felt Elliot beside me, but then he was gone. The light was warm, like a soft, fuzzy blanket.

Then the ground hit me in the face. It was hard and rough. The force of my landing knocked the wind

out of me, and I tumbled over myself before coming to a halt on my back. Above me was an azure

sky dotted with fluffy, marshmallow clouds. I turned my head and spotted the book lying closed on the

ground a few metres away. I tried to move to retrieve it, but it took a few moments before I could roll

onto my side and get to my knees.

When I finally managed to stand, I took in my surroundings with wide eyes. The sky may have

been blue, but the ground was dirty charcoal. Lumps of gravel mixed with sand and dead grass. It

stretched on, and on, nothing but barren wasteland no matter which way I turned. The only break in

the landscape was where the horizon met the sky.

A lump of fear rose in my throat. Where was Elliot?

I didn’t know where I was, and I was completely alone.

The Cover For The Conclusion To The "SUMMER SERIES" is finally here!! So Excited to share this with you all. Here you go!

BLURB :

Loving Chris Henderson would be wrong. Diabolically disastrous. I mean, what is there about him to love? He’s moody, bossy, brooding, a control freak, and that’s on a good day … but there was one achingly obvious fact that haunted my every thought, every minute of every day …
He sure could kiss.
As the countdown to the new millennium begins, there is one thing everyone agrees on: no one wants to be in Onslow for New Year’s Eve.
So that can only mean one thing: road trip!
No longer the mousey, invisible, shy girl from years ago, Tammy Maskala is finally making up for all those lost summers. A new year with new friends, which astoundingly includes the bossy boy behind the bar, Chris Henderson.
She likes her new friends (at least most of them), so why does she secretly feel so out of place?
After chickening out on the trip, a last-minute change of heart sees Tammy racing to the Onslow Hotel, fearing she’s missed her chance for a ride. The last thing she expected to meet was a less-than-happy Onslow Boy leaning against his black panel van.
Now the countdown begins to reach the others at Point Shank before the party is over and the new year has begun. Alone in a car with only the infuriating Chris Henderson, Tammy can’t help but feel this is a disastrous start to what could have been a great adventure. But when the awkward road trip takes an unexpected turn, Tammy soon discovers that the way her traitorous heart feels about Chris is the biggest disaster of all.

Fogged up windows, moonlight swimming, bad karaoke and unearthed secrets; after this one summer nothing will ever be the same again.

                                                          About The Author

Bestselling Author, Robin Mahle, lives with her husband and two children in Arizona. Robin found her passion for writing, which later became her second career, after spending nearly 20 years in the construction industry.

Having always been a lover of books, Robin attributes her creativity to the wonderful overseas adventures she has shared with her husband of 14 years. Backpacking (or certainly close to it), throughout Europe and having lived in England, opened her mind and with that came a steady stream of story ideas inspired by her author- idols in the thriller/suspense genre.

Through many late nights and weekends locked away in a room, Robin published her debut psychological suspense novel, Redwood Violet in the Spring of 2013. Intended as a two-part series, Robin is hard at work again writing the sequel, All the Shiny Things and is on schedule for a September 2013 release!
